What forms do I need?
In order for any child to participate in programs at Lutheran Lakeside Camp, and ensure the safety of all who attend, we must receive the following forms: Lakeside Day Camp Registration Form, Lakeside Day Camp Health Form, and Lakeside Day Camp Pick-Up Authorization Form.
Lutheran Lakeside Camp
2491 170th St
Spirit Lake, IA 51360
(You may also drop in to our office at this address and pick up forms to register your child!)
All three meals are offered during our On-Site Day Camp programs.* Mealtimes at camp are essential for campers to socialize and make friends. We offer a number of options for each meal. Hot entrees are offered for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Fresh fruit, cereal, and oatmeal are offered as options for every breakfast. Salad bar and sandwich bar are offered as options for every lunch and dinner. All of our meals are cooked by our Head Cook or Assistant Cook who are trained in food safety, cleanliness, and nutritional needs.
If your child has allergies, no need to worry! We've got you covered. During your registration process, you will be asked about allergies on your health form. Simply write down any allergies and reactions that your child may have and our nurse will meet with our cook to ensure our food is safe for your child.
*No meals are included during God's Little Sprouts
Drop Off & Pick-Up Times:
Drop off & Pick-Up Times vary for each program as follows:
God's Little Sprouts - Drop off = 9am, Pick-Up = 12pm (M-F)
Mini Lakesiders - Drop off = 8am, Pick-Up = 7pm (M-Th)
Lakeside Adventurers - Drop off = 8am, Pick-Up = 8pm (M-Th)
Flexibility for drop off and pick-up times is available if camp is notified in advance. Early Drop Off & Late Pick-Up is available. These arrangements must be made in advance.
Lutheran Lakeside Camp's Assistant Program Director will be in charge of Drop Off & Pick-Ups. Drop off will be at the Dining Hall each morning between 7:45-8:15am. The Dining Hall is located at the second entrance to camp. Each day you must sign your child in with tihs person and sign out at the end of the day. You will be required to show photo ID when picking up your child. You are required to check out your camper with the designated check-out person upon arrival. We can send no camper home without the signature of the person taking them! Pick-Up authorizations from the beginning of the week must state who is picking the camper up. That person must come with Photo ID ready. It will be required for pick-up - no exceptions. This rule is designed to keep your child safe.
We ask that parents picking up Day Campers do not wander around camp without a staff guide because other camp programs are still in session. Ask a counselor or support staff to show you around if you would like to wander. Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
