Why should my congregation choose Lakeside?
Our revamped Day Camp program offers you the best of the best. We partner with you to ensure that your Day Camp is exactly what you want it to be and on your schedule. Whether that be 9-3 Mon-Thurs, 8-12 Mon-Fri, or 6-8 Sun-Thurs-It's up to YOU!
Our mission is to give your campers a safe and fun place to experience God.
Let's work together to give your congregation the best week ever!
Why do we need Day Camp?
Day Camps encourage growth in children of all ages. They introduce faith to those who may have never had the opportunity and they help to develop a deeper faith to those who have. They help children to build confidence, discover themselves, and learn what it means to be independent in an intentional Christian community. They give kids a place where they are accepted and loved no matter what:
A safe place to be themselves and have fun.
Our Day Camp program serves to bring a bit of the outdoor ministry of LLC to your community.
Here are our 4 basic objectives:
- Share the Good News of God's love made known by Jesus
- Partner with congregations in providing Christian education and a local outreach opportunity.
- Provide an opportunity for young people to grow in community, learn ways to put their faith into action through service, get to know Christian role models, and participate in healthy activities during a week in the summer.
- Introduce children, youth, and families to Lutheran Lakeside Camp
Our Day Camp program is designed for children entering 1st through 6th grades. The daily program includes worship, music, Bible Study, devotions, crafts, recreation, and services. Because Lutheran Lakeside Camp is an outdoor camping ministry, activities happen outdoors as much as possible.
What does Lakeside DO?
Lakeside provides all craft supplies, recreation equipment and ideas, Bible study essentials (themes, knowledge, and equipment needed), music (songs and guitarists), worships (plans, skits, messages, music, prayers, etc), staff, decorations for your church, safety (each staff is trained in First Aid and CPR), energy and excitement, and fun.
We run the program based on your needs for children entering 1st - 6th grades.
How much does it Cost?
Costs vary based on what your needs are. LLC charges $420 per staff member with a minimum of 3 staff members per Day Camp. Therefore, the average cost is $1,260.
Staff are generally given at a ratio of 1 staff for every 10 campers with a maximum of 5 staff per week.
Additional costs include mileage at $0.55 per mile, costs of meals and housing for staff, and snacks for campers throughout the week.
Our costs are very competitive and we work with you to ensure that you get the best bang for your buck.
